friday through sunday was definitely a weekend i’ll never forget.
26. turned a year older. got a very nice egg pie with candles. got messages from people i’ve never talked to in a while. went up victor’s peak. caught up with an old friend.
27. went climbing at marabut. hitched a ride at the back of an asia brewery truck. saw a motorcycle collision. watched go-go dancers. got very drunk.
28. ate brunch at rafael’s. celebrated mama’s and papa’s birthdays. got spiky hair. watched the moon at lucia’s with daphne and yanyan. met frienli unexpectedly.
Bouldering again this weekend.
Climbing has played a big role into shaping who I am today. It has opened my eyes to the vastness and diversity of the world, even if technology creates for a smaller and smaller one.
I’ve made most of my life decisions in lieu of climbing. Skipping classes and nearly getting suspended in high school. Delayed my thesis (and almost got kicked by my college mates) because I was out cragging. Even climbing played a role in love.
I know it all sounds stupid to those of you sharp as tacks, but, there is nothing greater than being out there, chalked up, cheered on by others who share your passion, climbing, and just being free.

I was exploring the deep dark caverns of my backup drive earlier, and I found this. It was a poster I did for my friend, Jose, back in college.
I am currently moving to this brand spankin’ new domain from my old one: blockeleven.
Why you ask? well, unfortunately, blockeleven/block 11 was one hell of a nazi prison camp during WW2. I had no idea this was so; Blockeleven is the address of where I live. It’s where I let the creative juices flow. It was (and still is) a very fitting domain name for me. Anyway, it’s the new year, and I like starting with a clean slate.
If you’ve got any of those social networking thingamajig going on, I have got twitter and facebook. I also got deviantart. Pretty wired huh?
